Week 6 Friday

In preparation for Friday, I created two more detailed journey maps. One for the first day of moving into the cube and the second a normal day for a uni student. This helped my identity what parts of the day make them stressed for cooking.

Week 6 Tuesday

Today in class we had a prototyping session. I am still unsure which direction my project is going as I have two very different concepts I want to explore. I started by creating a survey to confirm my assumptions and gain some insight into what students want.

These were my survey questions:
  • -          Do you enjoy cooking
  • -          What is your go to meal when you cook
  • -          How often do you cook
  • -          What stops you from cooking more?
  • -          Would you rather buy takeaways than cook yourself?
  • -          Why would you rather buy food than cook
  • -          What do you usually buy if you don’t cook
  • -          How did you feel the first time you had to cook for yourself
  • -          How much are you willing to pay for a my food bag type service?
  • -          Would you like to gain more skills and recipes that are cheap and easy?

Week 5 Friday

For homework, we were asked to develop 3 of our best ideas further. I created 4 mood boards to do with my ideas:

1.
  •  Pop up Cooking workshop
  • Cook along with chef
  •  Real quick 15 mins
  • Could have competition
  •  Rewards, goodie bags
  •  Different cuisines and dietary requirements

Week 5 Tuesday

Today in class we started on the 2nd part of the assignment. I have decided to change brief to the first time flatters cooking one.

To start with I just wrote down all the barriers and opportunities that could be useful for sparking a design opportunity. I also started to think about possible directions I could take this project.
