Week 9 Tuesday

Today in class we spend the time planning our final presentations and what we need to talk about and how we are going to show it. I was a bit overwhelmed as I don't feel I am in a place to be thinking about that stage yet when I still have so much designing to do. It was good to get some clarity on the final submission though and touch base with what I actually need to make for it.

This is my plan for my presentation:

I created the dessert page of my app using the same style as my posters however it looks very girly and tea party like. I think the photos make it seem like that. I want it to be gender neutral so I will try a different page and play around with colours a bit more.

I have also done a few more variations of my poster cause I felt that it was a bit girly as well. I think the burger , pizza and spag bol work the best because these are things people will be making at the class whereas the strawberries don't work with that concept and the cupcakes are a bit classy. I also like the vertical stripes more so will be changing all the backgrounds to that.

I started filling in my dossier just so I have the information ready to go.

I also went down to whitcoulls to see the rhetoric and visual style recipe books use. It was good to see how recipe books communicate the message and the type of language they use.
